Multipurpose twist drill bit, jobber series The multi-problem-solver ATN - AITiN consist of aluminium (Al), titanium (Ti) and nitrogen (N) This coating has a considerabley higher thermal isolation than the TiN coating. It is mainly applied to reduce exessive wear or when exposed to high temeratures,. for example when insufficiently lubricated or without coolant. The ATN coating combines the advantages of TiN, TiAIN and TiCN. Generally the allround coatings have the disadvantage not to furnish top perfomances, not so with ATN. The ATN coating consequently replaces most favourable the 3 conventional coatings in the long term. Superior protection against wear than with TiN/ Better heat resistance/ Universal applications/ Up to 4 times higher performance than TiN/ Improved efficiency, higher cutting speed and increased feed/ Higher toughness/ /
Usage:wide range of universal uses, particularly recommended for deep drill holes and minimal lubrification For medium and long chips materials with a hardness of up to 1200N/mm², electrolyte copper, tough brass, stainless steels V2 A and V4 A, titanium, titanium alloys etc.
